Since 2004, DHI Mortgage has specialized in construction financing, as well as providing financing services of existing homes and refinancing options. DHI was formed following D.R. Horton’s acquisition of Continental Homes and its mortgage affiliate CH Mortgage, and has been affiliated with a homebuilder since this time.

Horton homebuyers, many of our closings are also resale and refinances.” 

DHI Mortgage makes the loan application process simple yet personalized for homebuyers. “The application process can be handled via a secured, online system; however, we encourage our clients to meet with us face-to-face, as we find that this fosters a better understanding of loan documents and the loan process,” Perez says.

For buyers faced with credit challenges, DHI Mortgage offers the Home Buyers Club, which helps prepare them for successful homeownership. “Participants can work with a personal credit consultant who will analyze the buyer’s credit report and help identify strategies for improving their credit worthiness,” Perez says.
